Walthers presents two variations (Double Sheathed Wood Ends and Braced
Ends) of a 40-foot Single Sheathed Outside Braced Wood Box Car first appearing in the 1986 catalog. The car orginated
in the Train Miniature line bought by Walthers. The kit was first released in six roadnames (ATSF, CNW, GN, MKT, NP,
and WAG), plus and Undecorated examples. Retail price was $4.95, typical of the mid-1980s Walthers plastic freight car
kits.
