No.932-9023 3-Pack -2005 Release
This set, retailing for $44.98, represents one of the oldest toolings in the current Walthers
HO-scale freight car line. The X-29 Box Car tooling originates with the Train Miniature product line of the early 1970s.
Walthers acquired the Train Miniature toolings in 1984 and the cars soon became Walthers offerings. The X-29 Box Car,
a Pennsy prototype, is the only ex-Train Miniature car found in the Gold Line series currently. The 3-Pack provides
three roadnumbers and three variations of the Pennsy paint scheme.

No.932-2050 Kit -1985 Release
Walthers first annual catalog inclusion of the X-29 Steel Box
Car is the 1986 edition. The car is listed as having ARA Steel Ends and was offered in six roadnames (PRR, B&O,
CNJ, RDG, NKP, NYC), plus and Undecorated kit. Each retailed for $4.95 in 1985, when new.
As with the majority of the mid-1980s Walthers plastic freight car kits, the X-29 Box Car's tooling
has its origin with the Train-Miniature product line.
