Walthers delivers the first group of 65' Mill Gondola kits in early
1996 with a $9.98 each retail for the six roadnames (BN, CSX, DRGW, MILW, CNW, EJE), plus Undecorated.
The August 1996 issue of Model Railroader includes the 65' Mill Gondola in its product reviews.
The Jim Hediger review states the model is based on, "a Thrall Car Manufacturing Co. prototype that was introduced in the
late 1960s."
The 1998 Walthers Reference Book adds a trio of new roadnames (MKT, MP, and SP) to the 65'
Mill Gondola kit group.
