The 65' Propane Tank Car is a new release in Walthers' 1992 catalog
with six offerings (UTLX, PROX, TXPX, CITX, NAHX, GATX), plus and Undecorated kit. Retail was $10.98 for this model
in '92. Three different roadnumbers were issued per roadname on this model. Walthers notes the car's capacity
is 33,800 gallons.
Jim Hediger reviews this kit in the March 1992 issue of Model Railroader magazine. Hediger
states in his review that the Walthers models follows a Union Tank Car Co. design. The January 1982 Model Railroader
featured prototype drawings for this car.
