AHM's Thermo King Reefer is announced in a late '70s catalog as a coming attraction. The sample
I have is decorated for Lehigh Valley and is a Yugoslovian-made car. The car features a separate roofwalk that is fitted into
rather large round openings on the car's roof, similar to the tooling found on the 50ft. Combination Door Box Car. The car's
underframe is attached to each of the ends of the shell. The underframe has a square cast open that extends out and snaps
over a tab on the car's end. The tooling includes a mechanical refrigerator located in the car's end opposite the brake wheel
side.
The Thermo King Reefer has been offered over the years by Model Power, as well as IHC.
