It appears AHM's Extended Vision Caboose was released at least twice by the company. Both releases carry the 5485 stock number
series. One run includes a letter suffix with the 5485 stock number; while the other includes a two-digit numeral suffix.
The letter series seems to be the first of the two runs and both runs are models made by Roco in Austria. AHM first offers
this model in 1972. The retail price is 1972 was $2.98.
Roco's tooling on its HO-scale model for AHM closely resembles the same model made in O-scale
by Roco for Atlas in the early 1970s. Model Power is known to have cataloged this same model in its product line around the
same time its was produced for AHM.
