From Roco in Austria came AHM's 40-foot Six Dome Tank Car model. To my knowledge, only AHM has sold this car in the U.S. The model measures 41-feet in length and weighes 1.9 ounces. The frame is a single plastic piece that the trucks snap into. The lower section of the tank body is black cast plastic and includes a metal weight. The upper part of the tank is cast in a clearish white plastic and spray painted per roadname. The railings around the tank are wire and are brought inside the tank shell and bent to hold them in place. The ladders and walkways are separate plastic pieces that snap into the upper part of the tank in three slots. The ends are both the same with no brake wheel present on either end of the car, though brake rigging detail is found on the underside frame. Once the tank is assembled it fits upon the frame via a pair of locating pins on the frame.
