Operating Gravel Dump Car

First and only found in the
1979 TYCO catalog is the Operating Gravel Dump Car (No.929). This item completes TYCO's Operating
Gravel Conveyor (No.922) also introduced in '79. The Operating Gold Mine (No.936) included
the overhead bin and conveyor with an operating dump car and trackside bin. TYCO did not include the operating dump
car and trackside bin with its Operating Gravel Conveyor (No.922), but did catalog this companion piece.
The Operating Gravel Dump Car (No.929) features the same hand operated freight car found in the Gold Mine.
For the Gravel Dump set, the car is brown and lettered in white for the Pennsylvania Railroad. The Trackside Bin is
also brown in color.
Operating Coal Dump Car Set
(No.956)

Listed only in TYCO's 1982 catalog is the Operating Coal Dump Set
with Dumping Station and Coal Load (No.956). A companion piece to TYCO's Operating Tractor Loader with
Coal Load (No.959), this set included the familiar operating dump car, now blue in color and lettered for Keystone
Coal Company, coal load, and trackside bin. TYCO only catalogs this item in 1982, however the Operating
Tractor Loader with Coal Load (No.959) remains in the catalog through 1986. The Tractor Loader is often pictured
working with the Keystone Coal hopper car, but does not include one in its set.
Operating Pipe Dump Car
(No.953)
(1981-1992)
Introduced in TYCO's 1982 catalog is the Operating Pipe Dump Set
with Dumping Station and Pipe Load (No.953). Again using its hopper bin on a 40' flat car, this item's car
features a brown flat with a yellow hopper bin lettered for Mid-Atlantic Pipe Company. This item is last found among
the Action Accessories in 1986, however it does continue to be offered in train sets through 1992.
