This Revell steamer is first listed in the company's 1956 introductory catalog with
a retail price of $24.95. Revell's 0-6-0 steam locomotive model included the ability to produce smoke.
The model is listed with a retail price of $27.95 in the 1957-59 product catalog; dropping to $19.95 for 1958-59. According
to Revell's catalog description, the 0-6-0 included a bottle of Revell Smoke Fuel, funnel, and dropper. Union Pacific
was the only roadname produced for this model. The steamer's cab carried the initials "U.P." on the fireman's side and
read "Union Pacific" on the cab of the engineer's side. The model's boiler was lettered "OMAHA." The prototype
is based on a Baldwin Locomotive Works product.
