Rivet Counters beware, the 1957-58 catalog boasts "rivet for rivet, ladder for ladder, Revell's hoppers are just like the real ones."  Revell utilized the same 2-bay hopper and sold it with coal load as a Coal Hopper and with a separate plastic lid with hatches it was the Cement Hopper.  The 1957-58 catalog features a pair of Coal Hoppers (C&O and N&W) and a single Cement Hopper (SP).  The retail price was $2.49 regardless of which type of hopper one desired in '57.  Revell's 1958-59 catalog splits these two similar hoppers into two separate categories in the rolling stock listing.  The Southern Pacific Cement Hopper is not listed, being replaced by a Baltimore & Ohio example.  Revell's Coal Hoppers retain the N&W and C&O examples and add a Burlington model.  The price on this model drops from its $2.49 in the 1957-58 catalog down to $1.98 in Revell's 1958-59 catalog.
