The third Famous American Railroad in the Lionel Collector Series is the Great Northern found in the 1981 catalog. The GN collection featured a 4-8-4 Northern with electronic whistle, sound of steam and puffing smoke. Following the same consists of the first two releases, the GN set included a box car, reefer, tank car, covered hopper and caboose.
