Train Set
Santa Fe Flyer
1988 (No.40-0320)
The one and only appearance for Bachmann's GE 35 Ton Switcher happens in the 1988 catalog and this train set.  The Santa Fe Flyer for 1988 was pulled by the mentioned 35 Ton Switcher in red and silver Santa Fe paint.  The set included an Open Quad-Hopper and 51' Plug-Door Box Car and Caboose.  This was a very basic train set and included enough track for a 36" circle layout with UL listed Power Pack and illustrated "Bach Man" Instruction Manual.

Notice the set's box, seen below, shows a Santa Fe EMD FT as the power on the large oval illustration and image running across the bottom of the package.  The package design is the same one used for Bachmann's Diesel Hustler offerings.
