Mantua introduces its Collectibles series in 1996 with a group of engines limited to 2,500 models.
The company had previous offered a green Southern steam loco in the form of a Mikado, this Collectibles release was a 4-6-2
Heavy Pacific. The series of Mantua Collectibles included a wood base with section of HO-scale track and brass name plate.
Mantua produced a sixteen page full color 6 by 9 inch catalog listing this series of releases. The regular 1996 Mantua annual
product catalog also included selections from this Mantua Collectibles series.
