At least the early production run of this Life-Like kit in the Buildems packaging was made in Taiwan.

Below you'll find Life-Like's announcement for the Rose Home and its companion models.  This Typically "Suburbia" HO House Kits was a section in a Life-Like Landscaping and Scenic Materials catalog that did not include the HO-scale model trains themselves.

The Rose Home is last seen in Life-Like's 1980 catalog.  The kit does return in the mid-'80s as the Contemporary Ranch House release.

The 1973 Life-Like Landscaping and Scenic Material catalog features a section of Assembled Buildings.  Among the offerings are the three suburban house kits, plus the Hamburger Stand and the Convenience Store kits.  All carry a $7 retail for 1973; the kit counterparts that year were going for $3 each.  Life-Like's catalog states, "Now full color package shows the consumer these beautifully detailed buildings.  Assembled, ready to use, fully decorated buildings open up entire markets."  To date, I have not found a surviving example of this pre-assembled version of these Life-Like kits.
