The famous Norfolk & Western Class J 4-8-4 Steam Engine and Tender returned to the Lionel line in 1981 heading up the Collector Series Powhatan Arrow set. The catalog states this new N&W 4-8-4 is a resurrected update of the 1957 model. The '81 example featured prolific smoke generator of early Lionel models with steam emissions from the side cylinders. Five N&W Powhatan cars are found in the '81 catalog with a Vista Dome also produced as an uncataloged add-on to the collection.
