The Toledo Peoria & Western was featured in Lionel's 1980 Collector Series Cross Country Express (No. 6-1072). Unlike some Collector Series set offerings, the Cross Country Express included an oval track plan layout and transformer. Powering the set was Lionel's GP-20 in TP&W colors. Rolling stock included: a Reading Hopper, Allis Chalmers Car, TP&W Box Car, Getty Oil Tank Car, Santa Fe Gondola and TP&W Bay Window Caboose. The Cross Country Express also included a Santa Fe Gantry Crane. Lionel's 1981 catalog includes both Traditional and Collector Series releases. The Cross Country Express makes a second year appearance in '81, but is found in the Traditional Series group.
