Timeline

Bicentennial
(No.1172)
A new entry in the 1976 Bachmann catalog, this model is shown as being a black New Haven 51' flat with a pair of Bicentennial-themed Trailers.

New Haven with Trailers
(No.1171)
Bachmann refers to this model as US Lines in the 1976 product catalog, though it appears to be the same black New Haven 51' Flat Car with a pair of International Forwarding Co. Trailers.

Penn Central with Containers
(No.1161)
In Bachmann's 1976 catalog, the 51' Penn Central Flat Car with Sealand Containers is listed with the same 1161 stock number, but is then called Sealand and not Penn Central with Containers.

Penn Central with Bicentennial Containers
(No.1162)

Santa Fe with Cable Reels
(No.1181)

One of seven new body styles added to the HO-scale rolling stock line by Bachmann in 1972 is the 51' Flat Car with Loads.  The car lists for $3.50 in '72 and is initially listed with three variations: New Haven with Trailers, Penn Central with Containers, and Santa Fe with Cable Reels.
