One of seven new body styles added to the HO-scale rolling stock line by Bachmann in 1972 is the 41' Mechanical Steel Reefer.  The car lists for $2.50 in '72 and is listed with six roadnames: Dubuque, CP Rail, Iowa Beef Packers, North American, Transport Leasing, and Union Pacific.  The example shown in Bachmann catalogs is an N-scale model.  The 1975 Bachmann catalog is the final edition to include this car among HO-scale offerings.  The N-scale 41' Mechanical Reefer remains in the Bachmann line for many years to come.
 
Based on the tooling of the N-scale example, I would guess the Bachmann 41' Mech Reefer would have been similar to the AHM 41' Reefer found below.  You may click on the image of the AHM example for further information.
