powered red-and-silver Santa Fe F-9A and a non-powered Santa Fe F-9B. A set of four red-and-silver Santa Fe

to create a 36" x 45" oval.

Sears' basic TYCO set for 1971 was powered by a Burlington GP20.
Freight cars in this set included the Western Maryland skid flat with 3 tractors; Swift 40' reefer; UP 40' gondola with 3
culvert pipes; Boston & Maine 40' hopper; and a CB&Q streamline cupola caboose. The layout track plan was a
45" x 36" oval, which included a re-railer; plus TYCO power pack.
8-Unit 4-6-2 Pacific Locomotive Freight

This 1971 Sears set included a Union Pacific 4-6-2 Pacific steam
engine and tender pulling a Boston & Maine 40' hopper; Santa Fe 50' plug door box car; Western Maryland 40' skid flat
with 3 tractors; Southern Railway pulpwood car; Santa Fe 50' flat car with 2 Santa Fe trailers; and a UP streamline cupola
caboose. Additional items in this Sears offering were the truck terminal and tractor cab; an uncoupling track section;
a 45" x 36" oval; and power pack.
9-Unit F-9 Diesel Freight

This Sears set is included in the 1971 Sears Christmas Wish Book.
It is billed as "Sears Best" for '71 and included a powered Santa Fe F-9A and matching dummy F-9B. The freights car
in the set were a Virginian 40' hopper; New Haven 50' plug door box car; Western Maryland skid flat with 3 tractors; Santa
Fe flat car with 2 Santa Fe trailers; Western Maryland flat car with 3 culvert pipe sections; and a Santa Fe streamline cupola
caboose. The set was loaded with extras, including TYCO's Freight Unloading Depot; Ore Dump Car Set; Operating Crossing
Gate; and Truck Terminal with Tractor Cab. Accessories in the set included a 24-piece sign set; a 63" x 45" double oval
with a pair of switches and a TYCO power pack.
