Pony & Tender 0-4-0 Steam Engine
Undecorated Kit
No. 505 -1978 Release

Mantua's 1978 catalog includes six roadnames (Burlington, Norfolk & Western, Pennsylvania, Santa Fe, Southern, and Virginian), plus and an undecorated kit for the company's Pony & Tender 0-4-0 release. The late 1970s asking price for a decorated ready to run Mantua Pony & Tender was $35. The undecorated kit sold for $31. The Northern Pacific Pony & Tender is a 1980 addition to the collection from Mantua. By the early 1980s, Mantua's Pony & Tender is missing from the line. The 1987 Mantua line once again includes the Pony 0-4-0. Four roadnames are found in 1987: Northern Pacific, New York Central, Norfolk & Western, and Virginian. The Pony has a $54 retail by the late 1980s. The Pony is gone from the line in 1989.
