Mantua Power
                           Drive Steam Engines

A 1984 introduction, the Power Drive motor and gear box series saw a Pacific 4-6-2, Mikado 2-8-2, and Hudson 4-6-4. Mantua lists the Power Drive as a new system with self-aligning sintered bronze bearings for low motor noise and long life. Pulling power is listed as increased 30% and the Power Drive is stated as having 50% more torque. This series of locomotives sold for $96 for assembled models in the mid-1980s.
