Walthers second import from Roco in Austria arrives with the 1993 annual catalog and is an EMD SW1 switcher. The model included
a plastic shell, separate handrails, interior, Mashima can motor with flywheel, all-wheel pick-up and was priced at $79.98.
The first offering included eight roadnames: Pennsy, Conrail, BN, NYC, SP, CNW, Milwaukee, and C&O-Chessie. And Undecorated
SW1 was also produced, presented with a light gray shell.
A new revised HO-scale SW1 has been announced for the Walthers Mainline series for spring 2013 delivery. The new model will
be DCC-ready and retail for $99.98.
