Announced in 1982, but never produced, Train Miniature had plans to offer a 50-foot Airslide Hopper kit. The 1983 Walthers catalog includes this never-made Train Miniature Airslide with a dozen roadnames, plus an Undecorated example. A $4.50 price is listed for this kit with no illustration included in the Walthers 1983 catalog.

Walthers introduces a 50-foot Airslide Covered Hopper into its plastic kit line in 1987. Walthers purchased Train Miniature's toolings, following T-M's demise in the mid-1980s. Walthers 50-foot Airslide model may have had its beginnings with Train Miniature and this never-released under the T-M name model.
