The back cover of TYCO's 1966-67 product catalog featured images of four new rolling stock offerings announced for delivery in the fall of 1966. The Covered Gondola Car is among this group of new cars for '66 with a $2.49 retail for a ready-to-run example and $1.89 for a kit version. The TYCO kit for the Covered Gondola Car carried stock number K337A. Either way, Burlington was the only roadname. This car survived in the early 1970s in the TYCO line.
