The AHM collection of HO-scale locomotives included selections made in a variety of locations
around the world. Rivarossi of Itay is well remembered as a supplier to AHM's catalog with its commonly found on prototype
railroads EMD E8's to the interesting and obscure German prototype Kraus Maffei that found a home for a short time on the
Rio Grande and Southern Pacific in the U.S. Yugoslavian made models made up a large portion of the AHM line with examples
ranging from the EMD BL-2 and Alco RS-2 in the early days to the EMD GP-18 and EMD SD-40 in later AHM years. Roco of Austria
built AHM's Alco Century 424. Kader in Taiwan made a run of EMD FT-A's for AHM. Italian made models also came from Lima
with its EMD FP-45. As demonstrated, there is a good deal of model train archaeology to be done in studying and reviewing
AHM's HO-scale diesels.
