The classic Athearn Pickle Car tooling joined the Roundhouse line
in a ready to roll example in 2008. To date, only the open-sided example has been offered in the Roundhouse line.
The first release by Roundhouse was followed in 2010 with a second offering. The assembled car's retail is $22.48.
Roadnames produced have included: Green Bay Foods, National Fruit Products, Budlong Pickle, Block & Guggenheimer,
Western Food Products, Squire Dingee, and Richter Vinegar. Readers of the December, 2011 RMC article will note
the Squire Dingee example would be the company whose history is traced in the magazine story. |
