Lone
                           Star F7

The first plastic N-scale F7 is not an N-scale model, but OOO-scale from Lone Star in the early 1960s.

Though they sported the very Texan name, Lone Star was an English company. The company introduces 1:160th model trains with its very crude collection that included North American prototype F7A diesel and 0-8-0 steam locomotive. Lone Star's line also featured streamline passenger cars, a box car, flat car, tank car, crane, and caboose. British prototypes were also offered by Lone Star. Lone Star's drive was a rubber band style and loop'n'hook style couplers were utilized. The retail for the Lone Star F7 in the early 1960s was $9.95.
