A new set for Life-Like's 1974 product catalog, the Timber Mountain Freight was the most expensive that year with a $70 retail price.  The set was powered by a Pacific 4-6-2 steam engine and tender pulling a pair of operating log dump cars; an open hopper; a 51' all door box car; and caboose.  The centerpiece of the set was Life-Like's Operating Log Mill accessory.  The set also included the Track Cleaning Car, plus an oval track plan with spur track and power pack.
