Yes, Chessie System owned GP40-2's, but in this case the model doesn't exist. Announced for
release in 2003 by ER Models in the U.S. and to have been made by Roco in Europe, this proposed GP40-2 in HO-scale was to
have had three B&O Chessie GP40-2 examples. The ER Models-Roco GP40-2 never made it to market.

Chessie System purchased many GP40-2 diesels and Athearn has covered a nice sampling of them
in HO-scale in the company's Ready To Roll line. To date, Athearn has offered its GP40-2 in the R-T-R line with B&O, C&O,
and WM reporting marks. All are accurate examples.
