Atlas had no freight car offerings in the mid '70s, when the Roco diesels were new. To complete train set contents, Atlas included Athearn made rolling stock in train sets. In general, the cars were the same as those in the Athearn line. There were exceptions, the Caboose models displayed above were not regular Athearn releases.
