Blue Streak Freight
No. 6-1385 -1973 Release
A blue Jersey Central Lines 2-4-2 Steam Engine with sound powered the Blue Streak Freight
offering. A CN Hopper, BN Gondola with Canisters, Erie Lackawanna double door Box Car, Republic Steel Gondola with Canisters,
UP Flat Car with Stakes and Caboose were included traveling around a 27" x 54" track plan, powered by a 50-watt Transformer.

Set included a Pennsylvania 4-4-2 Steam Engine with Tender featuring Mighty Sound of Steam
pulling two Pullman Cars and an Observation.

The Chessie U-boat pulled a Gold Medal Billboard Reefer, UP Operating Log Dump Car, L&N Flat Car with Road Grader, Morton
Salt Billboard Hopper, C&O Auto Carrier, Chessie Box Car, and Illuminated Chessie Caboose.

No. 6-1386 -1973 Release
A Rock Island 4-4-2 with Lionel's Mighty Sound of Steam pulled an N&W bi-level Auto Carrier,
Rio Grande Gondola with Canisters, MKT Bulkhead Flat with Stakes, Reading Hopper and Rock Island Caboose. The track
plan was a 27" x 54" oval and a 50-watt Transformer was included.

Santa Fe Double Diesel
No. 6-1489 -1974 Release
Revised for '74, this set featured Lionel's Alco A and B in Santa Fe paint pulling a CN Hopper,
BN Gondola with Canisters, Ford Motorcraft Box Car, Republic Gondola, UP Flat Car with Stakes and Santa Fe Caboose.

Lionel's Alco A receives Santa Fe's Freight Warbonnet scheme pulling a CN Hopper, Republic
Steel Gondola, Penn Central Log Dump Car and Santa Fe Work Caboose. A large 36" x 45" squared oval track was provided
with transformer.

No. 6-1384 -1973 Release
One of five steam powered sets found in Lionel's 1973 catalog, the Southern Express had a green
2-4-0 Steam Engine with sound pulling a Republic Steel Gondola, CN Hopper, UP Flat Car with Stakes and Southern Caboose.
A figure 8 layout measuring 27" x 64" was provided with transformer.

U. S. Steel Industrial Switcher
No. 6-1380 -1973 Release
Basic starter set from Lionel with a U. S. Steel Industrial Switcher pulling a Nickel Plate
Road Gondola, Union Pacific Flat Car with Stakes and a Reading Bobber Caboose. A 27" x 27" circle was the track plan
and the set included a power pack.

Yardmaster
No. 6-1382 -1973 Release
A Detroit Toledo & Ironton Switcher was the power for the Yardmaster. Lionel's Penn
Central Log Dump Car was included with a Republic Steel Gondola with Canisters, CN Hopper and DT&I Work Caboose.
An Oval 27" x 48" track plan was provided with transformer.
Three new train sets were included in Lionel's 1974 catalog. The new release sets
were the Broadway Limited (No. 6-1487), Grand National (No. 6-1460) and the revised Santa Fe Double Diesel (No. 6-1489).
