Along with the Santa Fe example, this Baltimore & Ohio F9-B featured a metalized chrome finish.  Like the chrome Santa Fe F9-B, this B&O is included in the 1964-65 and 1965-66 TYCO catalogs only.  TYCO also notes that the chrome F-9B models are only sold as R-T-R offerings and no kit version was made available.  The model sold for $4.98 and was non-powered.

One of two TYCO F9-B models to be produced with a metalized chrome finish, the Santa Fe F9-B is cataloged for a pair of years only.  The chrome F9-B models were only produced in R-T-R form according to the TYCO catalogs that they appear, 1964-65 and 1965-66.

Beginning with the 1968-69 catalog and continuing with the 1969-70 and 1970-71 catalogs, TYCO no longer lists individual roadnames for its diesels.

Retail Price in 1961, 1962-63, and 1963-64 was $8.98 for the Powered "B"-unit. The retail price goes up by one dollar to $9.98 for the R-T-R F-9B in the 1964-65 catalog. It is back to $8.98 for the 1965-66 catalog. The retail returns to $9.98, suggesting a mistake in the previous catalog, for the 1966-67 catalog. Retail price is $10.98 in the 1967-68 catalog. The Powered F-9B is not listed in the 1968-69, 1969-70, and 1970-71 catalogs.

Matching Non-Powered "B" units, carrying the stock number 230, sold for $3.98 in 1961, 1962-63, 1963-64, 1964-65, 1965-66, 1966-67, 1967-68, and 1968-69. The price is $4.00 in the 1969-70 and 1970-71 catalogs.

A Non-Powered Kit, with stock number K230, was available beginning in 1963-64 with a retail price of $2.98. The Non-Powered Kit is also found for $2.98 in the 1964-65 1965-66, 1966-67, and 1967-68 catalogs. TYCO no longer listed diesel kits beginning with its 1968-69 catalog.
