Kato introduces its HO-scale EMD SD38-2 diesel locomotive model in 2005. The model was produced with 2-cylinder and 3-cylinder
truck brake detail. Kato produced both 3200- and 4000-gallon fuel tanks for the model. The model was also offered with and
without dynamic brakes, per prototype. The model retailed for $140, with UP licensed models (UP and CNW) retailing for $145.
