Operating Piggyback Loader & Unloader Depot

First found in 1978, the Piggyback Loader/Unloader (No.903) set is completely
different from the No.933 and No.927 sets. This Piggyback Loader/Unloader is non-electric and does not have to be connected
to a power pack for operation.
The set featured the manually operating loader/unloader on platform and base with a
50' Flat Car with two Union Pacific trailers and Truck Cab.
The set enjoys a long run in the TYCO line. First seen
in 1978 and last found in 1992. The set was included in train sets as well, including the Silver Streak (No.7322) which offered
a Nite-Glow version of this set. Train set examples reviewed are in a plain white box and the Truck Cab and Trailer
are included in a separate TYCO brown box, similar to ones used for shorter freight cars.
The BN version of the Piggyback
Loader & Unloader Set has only two catalog appearances, 1978 and 1979.
