About The Author

The Life-Like Streamlined Passenger Cars all appear to be graduates from the Varney train line.  Varney obtained them from Penn Line's HO-Scale trains.  All the Streamlined Passenger Cars are shorter-than-prototype as was almost standard practice among so many manufacturers.

In Life-Like's early years, these cars were sold in a variety of roadnames.  For most of their years in Life-Like service these cars were featured only in early Amtrak paint, but not many years prior to Walther's purchase of Life-Like both B&O and Santa Fe sets were added.
