This catalog is to my knowledge the first Life-Like catalog to feature
the HO-scale model train line. There is no date included on the catalog itself, but I believe it to be from 1970.
The train line at this point is made up of Varney items, which was the basis for the Life-Like entry into the model train
market.
My estimate of the date of the debut in the model train market for Life-Like's name on engines and
rolling stock is the spring of 1970. Below you'll see the February 1970 ad for the Varney RS-11; followed by the March
1970 ad for the same RS-11 now under Life-Like's name...
