COX Athearn-made Train Sets

Athearn-Produced COX Train Sets
Below are the train sets featured in COX product catalogs from the early 1970s.  These sets feature locomotives and rolling stock and some accessories produced by Athearn.  Athearn is a long-time producer of HO-scale model trains.  In the past, Athearn has produced trains that were sold by Lionel-HO in the 1960s and by COX in the early '70s and for ATLAS in the mid/late 1970s.  These COX sets were sold from around Christmas 1971 until the arrival of the company's Hong Kong-made line of trains in 1975.
