COX 1972 Catalogs
COX began its HO-scale electric train line with Athearn-made
items for the 1971 Christmas season. Catalogs from this period do not include a year of issue. These early COX
train catalogs also appear to be virtually the same with respect to their contents.

Tri-Panel Catalog
These early 1970s COX train catalogs, published between 1971 and 1973, do
not include a year of publication and also do not feature a title as found on later COX catalogs. I'll identify the
above as the Tri-Panel Catalog.
The below catalog is labeled here as the SP GP35 edition, thanks to its
cover Southern Pacific (SP) loco. The other catalog also sports an Athearn-made GP35, but it is in Chicago, Burlington
& Quincy (CB&Q) paint.

CB&Q GP35 Catalog
As mentioned, COX's early 1970s catalogs include the same contents with
different covers. The three known catalog covers are all present on this page: Tri-Panel, SP GP35, and CB&Q
GP35.
