The Chessie System roster of EMD GP40 diesels was large with over 200 examples from the B&O,
C&O and WM. One of Bachmann's GP40 HO-scale models carries roadnumber 4132, which would fall into the B&O owned GP40-2 models,
not the straight GP40s. Another number used by Bachmann for a Chessie GP40 is 4148, which also falls into the GP40-2 range.
The highest numbered Chessie System GP40 belonged to the C&O's 4099.

member roads. The Atlas Master Line GP40 in Chessie System with B&O reporting marks and carrying numbers 3684 and 3690 represent
early examples received in 1966.
