The above Athearn model is their U30-B introduced in the early '70s. This model is now retired
from the company line and featured a wider than accurate long hood to accomidate its drive, as was done with many Athearn
locos in the '60s and '70s. Athearn's 2307 roadnumber is correct for a C&O U23-B and not a U30-B.

Chessie System rostered a variety of GE's B-truck road power, however the U36-B was not among
them. Chessie had the U23-B, U30-B, and B30-7 models, all from the C&O.
