Old West Building Kits
General Store and Bank
No. 2913 -1976 Release

New in 1975 are a pair of Plasticville, U.S.A. kits that would expand into the Old West series in the late '70s.  The first two are Old Time Station (2910) and Livery Stable (2909).

Bachmann's 1976 catalog is the debut of the following Plasticville, U.S.A. Old West Building Kits.  The collection originally featured five buildings, including a Livery Stable and Blacksmith, Old Time Station, Marshall's Office and Restaurant, Saloon and Barber's Shop, and General Store and Bank.  Also in the set was the Rock Assortment, which was a set of plastic case boulders.  The Old West kits are listed in '76 with retail prices of $5-$6 each.  The rocks were available for $3 that year.  The Old West buildings survived in the Bachmann line, but the Rock Assortment is found only in the 1976 product catalog.

Though not included with it, the Old West collection of buildings compliments and was introduced the same year of 1976, Bachmann first offered The Great Iron Horse Train Robbery (#1870) train set.

The 1981 Bachmann catalog includes only three of the Old West Kits:  Marshall's Office and Restaurant, Saloon and Barber's Shop, and General Store and Bank.  The Old West Kits are absent from Bachmann's catalogs for a handful of years, but return with two examples, Saloon (45-2912) and Bank & General Store (45-2919), in the late '80s.

The author is not affiliated with, nor representing Bachmann in any way. I do not have items available for sale, nor do I have information regarding repair or replacement parts, etc.
