My reference on this group of AHM locomotives is an early 1970s catalog.
AHM states, "For the discriminating model railroader, these HO Locomotives are plated in a beautiful satin gold finish.
Wheels and valve gear are actually plated in 12 karat gold. The exquisite finish and detail of a "brass" locomotive
priced within the reach of all. All locomotives perform with the mechanical smoothness and quality that has become synonomous
with the AHM name. Satisfaction guaranteed or full refund if returned within 30 days."
